Application and admission

Do the Bachelor Honours Classes appeal to you? If so, take a look at the admission requirements and application procedures.

When?

The application periods for Bachelor Honours Classes in the academic year 2025-2026 are as follows:

Study period Application Selection results
First semester

Monday 25 August up to and including Sunday 7 September 2025

No later than Tuesday 23 September 2025
Second semester   

Monday 27 October up to and including Sunday 16 November 2025

No later than Tuesday 2 December 2025

How?

Students are allowed to attend a maximum of Bachelor Honours Classes per academic year (both in the same semester or one class per semester).  To increase your chances of being selected for your preferred class(es), we advise you to apply for a maximum of Bachelor Honours Classes.

You can apply online via the Honours Academy application systemThis is only possible during the application periods as indicated above. Consult the manual for the application system if you get stuck during the process. 

For your application you are required to submit the following documents:

  • A concise motivation letter for each Bachelor Honours Class you are applying for (max. 1000 characters, including spacing), explaining why you wish to attend this particular class and what you will contribute to the group (e.g. knowledge or experiences from your field of study). Applications without motivation letter will not be taken into consideration.
  • An overview of your grade average (available in uSis).

Important note: You do not need to register in uSis. The organisation of the Bachelor Honours Classes will do this for you upon admission.

Admission

Bachelor Honours Classes are quite popular. In order to preserve their small-scale nature, the number of places available per class is limited.

Please note that the participants are selected based on their motivation letter. Participants are not selected on the basis of the submission date of their application.
