The Research Traineeship Programme gives students the opportunity to be part of a research project within the Faculty of Humanities.
The research trainees of the programme work on a research project together with two researchers from the academic staff. In this project, students may for instance work on databases, investigate manuscripts, develop an app, conduct an experiment and publish an article. They present the results of their project during the annual conference. In addition, research trainees meet up several times to share their experiences and to follow trainings on academic skills.
The Research Traineeship Programme starts every February. Students work one day a week for 7 months. Projects can be in English or Dutch. They receive payment for their activities.
Who can apply?
The programme is designed for motivated students who want to gain experience in academic research.
The projects for the next round will be published in December. Third-year Bachelor students and (Research) Master students of the Faculty of Humanities are then invited to apply for a position in one of the projects.
Applications for the upcoming round should be sent before 9 January 2019.
