Study plan
Some bachelor's programmes help you monitor your own academic progress by assisting you in drawing up a study plan at the end of your first year.
The study plan is intended to help you remain focused and motivated for the rest of your programme. You will draw up a study plan for your second and third years at the end of your first and second year respectively.
Planning your studies
When you start working on your study plan, it is important to know how the programme is structured. Planning your study requires certain skills. In the Brightspace module International Bachelor Psychology you will find important information per year about making your study plan as well as a list of key points.

- Understanding the structure of the bachelor Psychology programme.
- The Binding Study Advice (BSA) at the end of the first year.
- Creating a study plan. Use the handy curriculum planner 2026-2027 and an empty study plan
- Registering for courses and exams.
- How to request to take more than 20ec in a Block, using the request forms for Block 1 , Block 2, Block 3 or Block 4. The request forms are also available in the Brightspace module International Bachelor Psychology under Study Planning Year 2 and 3, Study Load.
- How to request permission to register for the Bachelor Project in Semester 1. See the conditions and the application form in the Prospectus Bachelor Project. The form can be submitted between March 15 and May 15 in the previous academic year.
You can also discuss your study planning with your tutor or mentor. Your tutor is your instructor for the first-year course, Academic Skills Tutorial. Your mentor is your instructor for the Year 2 course, Perspective on Career Planning. You will have two individual meetings with your mentor in the second year to discuss your study planning.
