Hi new linguist, excellent choice choosing linguistics; an awesome year is lying ahead of you!

Are you planning to make your year at Leiden even more fun? Become a member of T.W.I.S.T! The one and only study association of linguistics in Leiden, entertaining its members for over more than twenty years. Almost the whole of the study program is a member.

But first, what is a study association? A study association is an association for students run by students from the same study who organize all kinds of fun activities together.

And organizing fun activities we do. Be it academic or non-academic. How about a reptile lecture, ice-skating, all sorts of movie nights or an extraordinary game night? Not to mention the countless drinks and parties. We also go on holiday no less then twice a year. T.W.I.S.T. has something for everyone!

Another big advantage: members get a discount on their study books. They can order books through our website at our partner: Indexbooks.

To get to know our association and its faces, we will organize a number of awesome introduction activities. Maybe sail with us on the boat tour to get to see the fabulous facades of Leiden? Or even better: enjoy three days full of activities, while getting to know your peers at the first years weekend from the 15^th until the 17^th of September. Or take part in the countless other great activities that we are still planning.
