Playing with words

Friday 30 October from 13:00-17:00 h

Teacher
Caroline Bik

Discover how to write more freely, creatively, and without the pressure of getting it right.

Would you like to write, but don't know where to start?
In this workshop, you'll discover how inspiration can grow from what you see, hear, smell, and experience. Through playful writing exercises, Caroline will help you turn everyday observations, memories, and imagination into words. You'll find that writing becomes easier when you focus less on the end result and more on the creative process.

Who is it for?
Have you ever thought: I'd love to write, but I don't know where to begin? Or do you find yourself getting stuck because you're overthinking how a piece of writing should turn out?

This workshop is for anyone curious about creative writing. No previous writing experience is required. The exercises will help you generate ideas and put them on paper in an accessible and encouraging way.

You can take part in either Dutch or English.

What to expect
During this four-hour workshop, you will explore a variety of writing exercises. Using observations, memories, and imagination as starting points, you'll create short pieces of writing. Step by step, you'll discover how words, sentences, and stories can emerge naturally. The focus is on experimenting, exploring, and enjoying language rather than on writing correctly.

Duration: 4 hours (including a break)
