Do you want to know more about searching, evaluating and using scholarly information? Take a look at these interactive tutorials:

Searching scholarly information
In the general tutorial Working with the catalogue you learn how to loan a book, explore articles and search by author or subject. The subject specific tutorials on finding general and subject specific information cover a.o. Wikipedia, Google Scholar, e-books, subject specific databases, newspapers and Special Collections.

Evaluating information 
In these tutorials you learn about the difference between popular and scholarly sources and how to judge information.

Citing
In these tutorials students learn about the principles of academic integrity, plagiarism and citing. 

Start your thesis
You learn more about the steps of the research process, choosing a topic, research question and making a realistic planning. 

Or take a look at the Subject Guides. These guides contain recommended resources and digital tools, such as bibliographies, full text databases, and specific reference works. 

Individual consultation

Did you know that the UBL offers tailor-made guidance to both third-year undergaraduate and Master's students to help you find literature? During a one-on-one meeting with a subject librarian you will learn to identify queries, select sources and store/process search results.

UBL Workshops

The University Library (UBL) offers a range of workshops in ‘information literacy’ for study programmes and institutes. These are sometimes offered as part of your study programme. The UBL’s courses cover subjects such as:
