Focus & Relax: Yoga for Studying

Many students spend hours reading, writing, attending lectures, and preparing for exams. While studying often places heavy demands on the mind, the body is easily overlooked. Yet posture, breathing, and physical tension all affect our ability to concentrate, learn, and cope with stress. Come and join a yoga class: every month at Wednesday start 9 September 2026 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Workshop

Escape the demands of daily life for a while!

In this workshop, we will explore simple chair-based yoga exercises and breathing techniques that can be used during study sessions, before exams, or whenever you need a moment of calm. No yoga mat, sportswear, or previous experience is required.

By combining insights from psychology, neuroscience, and yoga, this workshop offers practical tools to help release tension, calm the nervous system, and improve concentration. The goal is not to become more productive, but to develop greater awareness of what helps you feel balanced, focused, and well while studying.

During the workshop, we will explore:

  • The relationship between stress, the nervous system, posture, and concentration
  • Simple chair-based yoga exercises to release tension in the neck, shoulders, back, and hips
  • Breathing techniques that can support relaxation, concentration, and emotional regulation
  • Ways to integrate these practices into your daily study routine
