Dear colleagues and students,
We cordially invite you for the Faculty Opening of the Academic Year 2025. This will take place on Thursday 25th of September 2025, from 15:00-17:00 in the Central Hall.
Last academic year was an eventful one where major events with large impact on the FSW community have occurred. We would like to look back, but also ahead at the new year. It is important to stand strong as a community, especially in times like these, and emphasize recognition and appreciation for each other. Dean Sarah de Rijcke will take the lead. There will be special attention for the colleagues of the Psychology Institution. Also traditionally the Casimir Prize will be handed out this year as an appreciation to the teaching teams that achieve renewal and innovation in education. The winning team will be announced during the opening. Last but not least the Art Committee will open the exhibition in FSW of works of art made by colleagues.
We will conclude with an informal reception, where there will be ample opportunity to catch up with each other and jointly herald the new academic year!
