The Department of Child Law of Leiden University and Defence for Children invite you to the 13th Jaap Doek Children’s Rights Thesis Award ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 11 December from 14:00 onwards.
The prize will go to the best master’s thesis in the field of children’s rights. From the many theses submitted by law students but also students from other disciplines, the jury, led by chairman Jaap Doek, has nominated six candidates who are eligible for the thesis prize.

The Jaap Doek Thesis Award will take place on December 11, 2025 in room A0.51 of the Kamerlingh Onnes Gebouw at Steenschuur 25, 2311 ES Leiden. Registration for this event is necessary. Registrations can be submitted until Friday, December 5, at jeugdrecht@law.leidenuniv.nl
