Leiden University Meeting Point, in collaboration with UAF and IncLUsion Leiden, hereby invite you to celebrate the start of spring by attending the annual Spring Dinner on Thursday 21 May. This is an excellent opportunity to (re)connect with your peers, enjoy delicious food, and socialise.
The event is aimed at all students who feel connected to the Meeting Point community. This includes, for example, first-generation students, students with a refugee background and international students.
Programme
- 16.30: gather at Plexus Student Centre
- 17.oo - 18.30: guided tour Discover the History of Leiden University
- 18.30 - 21.00: potluck dinner and socialising
Guided tour
Prior to the dinner you can join the Discover the History of Leiden University guided tour (in English). Discover stories of Spaniards and rebels, the French Emperor Napoleon, a stubborn professor named Einstein, and the coldest place on Earth, as well as many other fascinating stories.The tour will be led by Harmen Breedeveld.
Potluck dinner
After the tour, you can showcase your culinary creativity and culture at the potluck dinner. When signing up, let us know what you will bring along.
When registering, you can let us know if you want to join the guided tour, the potluck dinner, or both.
Theme
This year’s theme is To New Beginnings. Through the guided tour and interactive activities, we will reflect on new beginnings, connection, and the future. Afterwards, you will have the chance to connect with fellow students through a social bingo activity and exchange stories, experiences, and hopes for the future. We hope these conversations will inspire you.
