The Filipino Scholars in the Netherlands (FiSch NL) network, in collaboration with the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden University, and the Embassy of the Philippines in The Hague, warmly invites you to Filipino Scholars in the Netherlands and Global Research Futures, a roundtable event celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the Netherlands. This event is co-supported by LeidenGlobal and the Rijksmuseum van Oudeden.
The roundtable brings together Filipino scholars, researchers, institutional actors, and other knowledge partners to highlight the global reach and relevance of Philippine Studies and to explore possibilities for transregional and transdisciplinary research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Across two roundtable sessions, speakers will share their research, experiences, and perspectives on Philippine-related scholarship, international knowledge production, and collaborations between the Philippines, the Netherlands, and beyond.
The event will conclude with an informal drinks reception with light snacks, providing an opportunity to continue conversations, make connections, and celebrate the 75th anniversary.
