What is Population Health Management?

The Master’s in Population Health Management (PHM) trains you to contribute to a more integrated healthcare system, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. It equips you to address challenges such as rising costs, staff shortages, and the increasing complexity of healthcare and technology worldwide.

About the Experience Day

During this Experience Day, you will gain a broader insight in what it is like to study Population Health Management. You will follow mini lectures and work on a case study about one of the real challenges in our health care system.

Next to that, you will have the opportunity to talk to our alumni and master staff about the master programme, career aspects and any other questions you may have. Also, our student ambassadors are present to tell you more about the life as a PHM student.

PHM Experience Day programme

Get to know each other | 14:30 – 14:45

You’ll start the day by meeting your fellow Experience Day students and getting to know each other in small groups.

Introduction to PHM | 14:45 - 15:30

Discover what makes Population Health Management unique! The programme director Marc will explain the key differences between PHM and other master’s programmes. Furthermore, he will tell you about the possibility for a combined programme with Public Health in Birmingham.

Alumni Q&A | 15:35 - 16:00

During this session, you’ll have the chance to ask all your questions about life after graduation. What does the application process look like? What kinds of roles can you pursue after PHM? Our speakers are happy to share their experiences and give you an honest picture of your future career options.

Guest Lecture | 16:10 - 16:30

Curious about what you’ll study as a PHM student? During this guest lecture, you’ll follow a presentation on a core PHM topic, giving you insight into the content and academic expectations of the programme.

Mini case study | 16:30 - 17:10

Time to apply what you’ve learned! In small groups, you’ll work on a real-life healthcare challenge and present your solution in a short pitch. A PHM student will guide you throughout the session.
