ESOF2022: Leiden Law School
EuroScience Open Forum – ESOF - is Europe’s biggest multidisciplinary and prestigious scientific conference. ESOF2022 will take place from 13-16 July 2022 and is hosted by Leiden as the European City of Science (in the Netherlands). The Kamerlingh Onnes Building is one of the locations of the ESOF and Leiden Law School will provide speakers for certain sessions.
Let’s connect curious minds! The theme of ESOF2022 is Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies. How do we challenge the complex global challenges our society is facing? How do we create a sustainable environment or healthy societies? What will future cities look like? What’s the importance of Freedom of Science? What's needed to have a career in science? Just a few examples of issues that will be raised and debated at #ESOF2022.
The goal of the conference is to create synergies between different scientific disciplines and building bridges between science and society, to help tackle these complex and intertwined challenges of today and tomorrow. The conference will stimulate lively debates around the latest advancements and discoveries in STEM, humanities, and social sciences.
This interdisciplinary conference is for anyone with a curious mind - from leading scientists, early-stage researchers, business people, innovators, policy makers, science and technology communicators and of course the general public.
Because of the hybrid format, everyone can attend the conference locally in Leiden and/or online. It offers a high-quality scientific programme, inspiring debates, and a meeting place for a community of open and curious minds.
The ESOF2022 conference is one of the highlights of the 365-day public science programme of Leiden European City of Science 2022. Leiden2022 celebrates knowledge, art, science and expertise. The year-round programme of Leiden2022 reaches out to the public and truly connects science with society.
