Last March, De val van de Taira (The Fall of the Taira) was published, the complete Dutch translation by Jos Vos of the medieval Japanese epic Heike monogatari, which has left its mark on Japanese cultural history. The translator will talk about his translation experiences. Beforehand, Dr Doreen Mueller will talk about the reception of this epic in Japanese printmaking.
