By gaining a clear insight into your finances, you can avoid getting into financial difficulties. Find out how to get a grip on your finances and avoid running up debts.
Monthly budget or financial plan
To gain a clearer picture of your finances, draw up a monthly budget or financial plan in which you list your sources of income and expenditure.
Budget template
As a basis, you can use this budget template created by NIBUD (Dutch institute for budget information). The template is in Dutch but you translate it as follows:
- Save the template on your computer
- Select Review (top of page)
- Click on Unprotect document, then Translate
