Vacancy: Research-Assistant Data Management Humanities (apply before 10 June)
In this position, you form a part of the Research Support Office at the Faculty of Humanities. You will assist the Research Data Manager and Data Steward in guiding and supporting researchers to plan and implement data management in their research projects. This will mainly involve reviewing data management plans, giving one-on-one support and advice on data management to (PhD) students and staff, and long-term archiving of datasets. You will be able to develop your skills and knowledge through workshops and trainings, both in- and outside the university.
Selection criteria
- Interest in research data management and Open Science.
- Currently and preferably studying at the Faculty of Humanities, but students from other faculties may apply.
- Currently enrolled in a BA3+MA programme, a 2 year MA programme, or a 2 year Research MA programme. Self-funded PhD students may also apply.
- Excellent command of English (preferably also Dutch, but this is not a requirement).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both in writing and face-to-face.
- A supportive and problem-solving attitude.

Terms and conditions
We offer a 0.4 FTE position (15,2 hours per week) starting a.s.a.p. until the end of 2025. A renewal will be possible every year, but is dependent on the student-status of the student and on the organizational developments in the Faculty. The standard salary table for a Student Assistant will be applied. The salary ranges from € 2.925.- to € 2.981 gross per month, based on fulltime employment, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (per 1-1-2025).
