Vacancy Student Ambassador International and European Governance - Master of Public Administration
The Institute of Public Administration is looking for a student ambassador for the specialisation International and European Governance of Master of Public Administration for the academic year of 2026-2027.
Job description
As student ambassador, you represent the specialisation International and European Governance of the Master of Public Administration during information and recruitment activities for prospective students. These activities include the Master’s Open Days, trial lectures and Q&A sessions, both online and on campus. You are responsible for the organisation of these events, including inviting staff, students and/or alumni, acting as moderator and answering students’ questions.
With your ideas and initiatives, you help improve the (online) presence of the master’s programme. You will work in close cooperation with the programme and specialisation coordinators, support staff of the Institute of Public Administration and the Communications and Marketing department of the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs. It offers you a great opportunity to gain relevant work experience and expand your professional network.
Profile
- You are registered as an International and European Governance student per February or September 2026
- You feel comfortable presenting in front of large groups.
- You have strong communication and organisational skills (offline and online).
- You are responsible, flexible and creative.
- You are a self-starter; you initiate and implement plans with minimal supervision.
- You preferably have experience in the field of student recruitment and/or support.
- You are available for 2 hours per week on average until July 2027 (February 2027 if you are graduating in January 2027). The (gross) hourly wage for a master’s student assistant is € 19.04 including holiday allowance (8%) and year-end bonus (8,3%) (holiday hours are paid).
Tasks and responsibilities
- Enthusing prospective students for your study programme, faculty and university
- Being present at the Master Open Days (15 or 16 October 2026, and 12 February 2027)
- Organising trial lectures, Q&A sessions and other recruitment activities
- Point of contact for prospective students via Unibuddy
- Work closely together with the other student ambassadors, programme directors, support staff, and the communications and marketing department
Our organisation
The Institute of Public Administration of the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs offers one Dutch bachelor’s programme in Public Administration and two master’s programs in Public Administration (English) and Management of the Public Sector (Dutch). The institute works closely with the Communications and Marketing department of the faculty in the field of recruitment and marketing.
