Asya Bozkurt is Leiden Law School's new Assessor
As of 1 September 2026, Asya Bozkurt will be the new Student Assessor at Leiden Law School. She will succeed Roel Kwast who will hand over the role to her after two years in the position.
The Assessor is the student member on the Faculty Board. They participate in all major meetings and projects, ensuring that the student perspective is represented in decision‑making. On 1 September 2026, Roel will officially pass the baton to Asya.
To familiarise herself with the role, Asya has already been working with Roel since 1 May. This transition period will help her get off to a flying start in the new academic year.
