Throwback to ArcheOpenMic: 'A night out at the Faculty'

On Thursday October 1, the first ArcheOpenMic took place in the Reuvens Hall. Staff and students shared their skills and enthusiasm in six vibrant acts, from classic guitar to line-dancing. After the performances, the attendees were welcomed to show their own dance skills in the silent disco.

The ArcheOpenMic event is the first of a new generation of social events during which the Faculty community can make a connection on a more personal level. Check out the pictures below for a throwback!

Staff member Martina introduced the acts and created a lighthearted atmosphere for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Student Lucille shared her singing talents by performing the song 'Stay' by Rihanna
PhD candidate Alex played the guitar and sang to songs on what it means to be alive
Faculty Bureau staff member Marten Jesse explored the Dutch concept of Bestemmingsplan in a winding stand-up comedy act
Student Roos performed a classical guitar piece called Recuerdos de la Alhambra
The chairs were cleared and a dance floor was created for the performance of a student band (nameless at the time of writing) consisting of Milan, Joep, and Lee
With everyone sufficiently warmed up, the colleagues from the Board Support room, Anouk, Caroline, and Johan, performed a line dance...
...after which everyone was invited to join in!
Performing (and watching!) makes hungry. For everyone there was pizza!
Up next everyone enjoyed the silent disco until the end of the event.
