This year, Leiden University appointed political scientist Hélène Landemore to the Cleveringa Chair. In her lecture, she will reflect on a current theme in the field of war, law, freedom and democracy, as did the Cleveringa professors who preceded her. Landemore is internationally recognised as a leading thinker on democracy, constitutional reform and the ethical and political implications of artificial intelligence.
