Vacature: Student-assistant LUCRIS helpdesk
Deze vacature is in het Engels, maar Nederlandstalige studenten worden van harte uitgenodigd om te solliciteren.
In this position, you will support researchers with the registration of their publications, like journal articles and monographs, preferably in Open Access, and their academic activities, such as public readings and interviews on television. You will answer their questions by e-mail or in person. Registration is done in the web application LUCRIS. You form a part of the Research Support Office at the Faculty of Humanities.
What we're looking for
- Interest in publication management and Open Access;
- Currently studying at the Faculty of Humanities, BA2 or BA3 (not MA, nor PhD);
- Good communication and writing skills;
- A supporting and problem-solving attitude;
- Systematic and precise;
- Flexible in working hours;
- Excellent command of English (preferably also Dutch).
About our Faculty
Since its founding in 1575, Leiden University has built an internationally recognized record of excellence in teaching and research. The Faculty of Humanities is an international center for the study of languages, cultures, arts, and societies worldwide, in their historical contexts from prehistory to the present. We take culture broadly to include religions, philosophies, and worldviews as well as literature, art, and technology. In research and teaching, we focus on Dynamics of Diversity, meaning the mobility of people, language, culture, ideas, art, and institutions in a globalizing world, and their interconnectivity through the ages. The Faculty is home to well over 7200 students and 800 academics. It offers 26 BA programmes and 27 MA programmes. The Graduate School annually awards about 70 PhD degrees.
What we offer
We offer a 0.3 FTE position (11,4 hours per week) starting a.s.a.p., until 31 December 2026. A renewal will be possible every calendar year, but depends on the student-status of the student, and the organizational developments in the Faculty. The standard salary table for a Student Assistant will be applied. The salary ranges from € 2.925 gross per month to € 2.981 gross per month, based on fulltime employment, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (per 1-1-2025).
