What is honours education?

At the testing grounds of honours education, you'll be given the space to flourish. In addition to your bachelor or master, you take on extra courses, together with students from all faculties of Leiden University.

For whom?

Students from all faculties are welcome. Main requirements are that you are curious about other disciplines, enjoy working in a team and are motivated to contribute in class. Exact entry requirements differ per programme. 

Programmes on offer

• Honours College (20 EC): The pick for during your bachelor's. Two-year programme in which you can choose from a wide variety of interdisciplinary honours courses. 
   
• Leiden Leadership Programme (15 EC): Full one-year master honours programme in which you discover and develop your leadership skills and gain experience in an organisation.
   
• Master Honours Challenges (3-5 EC): Course/project during your master's in which you tackle an issue for society or an organisation.
