The Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP) at Michigan State University is pleased to offer 4 classes for international students during the 2019 Summer term:
The program includes lectures, group work, and educational and cultural field trips. Students will also engage in career planning, professional development, and leadership training. At the end of the program, students will embark on a trip to either Chicago or the East Coast. It will be a great opportunity for students to experience American culture. |

Netherlands Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS)
Where: | Masterclasses and meetings in the Netherlands. Summer schools in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing or Shanghai and a Business Week in Shanghai. |

For who: | Excellent third year Bachelor’s students, preferably (but not exclusively) students of the Honours College or LUC. Second year students may apply on condition that the whole of their second year will be completed during the current academic year. |

As one of the one hundred excellent students selected, you will have the opportunity to attend a summer school at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Chengchi University in Taipei, or another Chinese university. You can follow Asia-related courses in the fields of business, management, engineering, humanities, social sciences and languages. After the academic programme NAHSS participants join a Business Week in Shanghai. Here they meet Dutch and Asian companies and institutions and hear about their vision and how they have adapted to the Chinese market. |
Fees and application: |
The whole programme, both in the Netherlands and Asia, including flights and accommodation, costs €1000 per student. Applications must be submitted directly to NAHSS. Leiden University nominates a maximum of 25 students. NAHSS then selects between 4 and 15 students from this group by way of a second selection round. |

The China Europe International Summer School (CEISS)
Where: | Shanghai, Utrecht, Berlin and Copenhagen |

For who: | Students of all disciplines who have completed at least one or two years of university study. |

Details: | CEISS offer fourteen summer courses for Chinese and international students in disciplines related to Chinese-European relations, i.e. international economics & business, politics & administration and international relations & diplomacy. Students can follow one to three courses in succession at one or more location in China and Europe. Each course is two weeks in duration and taught in English. No specific prior skills are required, however the course is at advanced Bachelor’s level (i.e. minimum one or two years of academic study). |
