Studium Generale, or the general studies department, organises a range of academic activities such as lectures, symposia, film screenings and debates. These activities are intended for students, staff and the general public alike.
The goals of Studium Generale (SG) are to stimulate a greater interest in academic sciences, to contribute to cultural and societal development, and to create a better understanding of the link between academic sciences and society.
Unless stated otherwise all Studium Generale activities are free of charge and advance registration is not required. Prior knowledge of the subject area is also not necessary.
Important note! Once all seats are taken no further people can be admitted, so make sure to come on time. Some activities are very popular and full is full.
Information on all SG seminars and activities can be found on the Studium Generale webpage, Facebook page and Twitter account. Although many activities are in Dutch there are also frequent seminars in English.
